Required Education and/or Experience:
Earned Ph.D. in Biology with a focus on developmental biology embryology or organismal biology.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of one year of postdoctoral experience;
Experience teaching and developing courses in comparative and experimental physiology developmental physiology or evolutionary developmental biology;
Evidence of a strong commitment to student-centered instruction and evidence-based teaching methods;
Evidence of a commitment to science education outreach and/or community engagement;
Knowledge of different methods of student learning and assessment;
A track record of research productivity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching duties include the departments core courses and upper-level courses in the candidates specialty;
Establish and maintain a research program that incorporates undergraduates and graduate students with external funding;
Provide service to the Biology Department the Donaghey College of STEM and the University.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills;
Commitment to inclusive teaching;
Ability to provide effective mentorship;
Ability to work communicate and collaborate in a departmental team from a variety of research backgrounds.
