Experienced Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer

The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) organization is seeking an Experienced Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City OK.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
• Supports the development maintenance or modification of system component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
• Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Contributes to supplier development test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
• Supports system components designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation.
• Trains others.
• Works under general direction.

This position is 100% onsite in Oklahoma City OK.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)- Level 3:

• Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry
• 5 years of experience with mechanical systems
• 3 years of experience with hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems
• 3 years of experience with basic aerodynamics/fluid mechanics principles
• 1 years of experience working conceptual preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering schematics and specifications
• Experience performing hydraulic / fluid system analysis preferably using MATLAB and/or Easy5 software
• 3 years of experience designing tooling using CAD/CAM software preferably CATIA
• Experience producing technical reports and presentations
• Strong written verbal communications and presentation skills
• Familiarity with engineering processes and methods
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• Experience with Model Based Development tools

Summary Pay Range: $91800 - 124200
