Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated tutors to join our Sylvan Learning team. As a Sylvan Learning Tutor you will work in a 3:1 learning environment with students to help them reach their academic goals. You will provide individualized instruction and create a positive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized tutoring in subjects such as Math Reading Writing Study Skills and Test Prep.
- Monitor and track student progress so Directors can provide meaningful feedback to parents as needed.
- Foster a positive encouraging and supportive learning environment.
- Help students develop effective study habits and build academic confidence.
- Follow Sylvans proven programs and methods to deliver consistent results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (or working towards) in Education Math English or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Passionate about helping students succeed.
- Ability to adapt to various learning styles and needs.
- Must be reliable punctual and professional.
- Must be available to work evenings (4:30-7:30pm) and some Saturday mornings - Summer hours will provide opportunity for morning availability.
