Job Summary
A Grounds and Maintenance Team Member is responsible for supporting the Facilities Department in multiple areas. This includes but is not limited to: painting landscaping mowing grounds clean-up basic facility maintenance and repairs light moving among other duties as assigned. Hours may vary per week based on the departments needs.
Applicants should be willing to work in a self-directed task-based environment and make a valuable contribution to the Southern Boone School District.
Qualifications:
- Ability to complete work independently
- Great work ethic and desire to succeed
- Equivalent of a high school diploma and/or previous experience to adequately perform all functions of this position
- Proficiency in safe operation of hand tools and power related equipment including mower weed trimmer chainsaw etc.
- Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Excellent attendance record
