Summary

We are seeking a hands-on people-focused HR Specialist & Office Manager to support our Washington DC this dual-capacity role you will serve as the primary resource for HR processes and office operations ensuring employees feel supported engaged and empowered to do their best work.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape company culture and enhance the employee experience within a fast-growing environment.

This position is fully on-site Monday through Friday (not hybrid or remote).


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment coordination onboarding/offboarding benefits administration performance review support and maintaining accurate employee records.

  • Develop and implement employee engagement and welfare initiatives that strengthen a positive workplace culture.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies procedures and benefits ensuring compliance with HR best practices and local labor regulations.

  • Coordinate closely with the international HR team.

  • Provide HR insights updates and recommendations to leadership.

  • Oversee daily office operations to keep the workspace functioning efficiently.

  • Manage office supplies vendor relationships and facility-related needs.

  • Plan team gatherings off sites and company events in collaboration with leadership.



Requirements

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen (mandatory due to work in the defense industry).

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.

  • 24 years of experience in Human Resources Recruitment Office Management or People Operations (startup experience is a plus).

  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance employment law and benefits administration.

  • Proven ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with hands-on execution.

  • Highly organized proactive and resourceful with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for people and culture.

  • Comfortable multitasking and operating in a fast-paced growing organization.
