Summary
We are seeking a hands-on people-focused HR Specialist & Office Manager to support our Washington DC this dual-capacity role you will serve as the primary resource for HR processes and office operations ensuring employees feel supported engaged and empowered to do their best work.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape company culture and enhance the employee experience within a fast-growing environment.
This position is fully on-site Monday through Friday (not hybrid or remote).
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment coordination onboarding/offboarding benefits administration performance review support and maintaining accurate employee records.
Develop and implement employee engagement and welfare initiatives that strengthen a positive workplace culture.
Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies procedures and benefits ensuring compliance with HR best practices and local labor regulations.
Coordinate closely with the international HR team.
Provide HR insights updates and recommendations to leadership.
Oversee daily office operations to keep the workspace functioning efficiently.
Manage office supplies vendor relationships and facility-related needs.
Plan team gatherings off sites and company events in collaboration with leadership.
Requirements
Qualifications
U.S. Citizen (mandatory due to work in the defense industry).
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
24 years of experience in Human Resources Recruitment Office Management or People Operations (startup experience is a plus).
Strong knowledge of HR compliance employment law and benefits administration.
Proven ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with hands-on execution.
Highly organized proactive and resourceful with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for people and culture.
Comfortable multitasking and operating in a fast-paced growing organization.
