In our area we specialize on everything related to distributed database systems and cloud services. We are looking for people who have experience or are deeply interested in databases distributed systems and cloud services. There is always something new to do at our team whether its enhancing our existing products or building a completely new one from scratch.

As a member of the Cloud Services Development teams you will support the software design and development for major components of Oracles Cloud Infrastructure. Our team is the centralized database store for Oracle Public Cloud.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Here are some recommended skills that will help you succeed at your job:

• A BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering with a focus on Security or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field.
• 3-5 years of experience delivering and operating large scale highly available distributed systems and/or cloud services
• Strong knowledge of Java with scripting languages such as Python Perl etc.
• Strong knowledge of data structures algorithms operating systems distributed systems and cloud services fundamentals
• Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP HTTP) and standard network architectures
• Strong understanding of databases NoSQL systems storage and distributed persistence technologies especially in cloudDesign develop troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases applications tools networks etc.
• Strong knowledge of Terraforms and/or Ansible is preferred

Additional Information:

Hourly wage is $30 per hour. This is a 40 hour per week position

US: Hiring Range in USD from $19.62 to $38.32 per hour; from: $40800 to $79700 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect Oracles differing products industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
