- Listing own brand (OB) supplier brand and Metros own imported products in accordance with legal regulations customer expectations and company demands and carrying out periodic checks.
- Setting up quality analysis and supplier audit plans by making risk assessment on products and supplier level.
- Organizing/carrying out supplier audits in terms of food and product safety social compliance and sustainability or monitoring the currency of supplier certificates.
- Preparing product specifications and checking product labels in accordance with legal regulations customer expectations and company demands.
- Managing non-conformities detected in analysis internal and external audits in the store.
- Creating supplier scorecards informing categories on supplier performance results.
- Following up customer complaints regarding food safety and quality regarding products requesting corrective action from suppliers when necessary and informing stores and categories.
- Following the legal regulations and meeting the requirements regarding the sale and marketing of the local sourced and imported food products that one is responsible for.
- Taking part in special projects related to food safety sustainability and quality regarding food product groups that one is responsible for.
- Determining risky products in terms of sensorial characteristics preparing sensorial analysis and chef involvement test plans of OB products and organizing tests in scope of OB Excellence strategy.
- Supporting the implementation of food safety management systems such as IFS Wholesale and IFS Logistics.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Food Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of similar experience.
- Quickly adapting Metro Turkeys business activities and working methods.
- Knowledge of food production processes food safety food microbiology food regulations.
- Knowledge of international GFSI food safety management systems and sustainability management systems (RSPO RTRS etc.) certifications.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Dynamic systematic working and mobility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- No restrictions to travel; valid driving license required.
