Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is seeking a visionary Director of Communications & Partnerships to elevate and amplify the hotels global positioning as a leader in luxury hospitality and transformative wellness following a $130M resort transformation and recent unveiling of a world-class thermal bathing destination Basin Glacial Waters. This role is responsible for shaping the propertys guest appeal voice and reputation through innovative cross-channel communications proactive brand storytelling experiential activations and meaningful partnerships that resonate with discerning travelers and media alike.
The ideal candidate is a sophisticated communicator and connector who understands the nuances of luxury branding cultural relevance and modern media landscapes. They will drive awareness inspire aspiration and create enduring emotional connections between our brand and our guests.
Under the leadership of the General Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing and with strong alignment with the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Corporate office and Regional Director of Public Relations the key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
Public Relations & Brand Communications
- Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy that enhances the propertys reputation locally regionally and globally supporting the hotels master strategic plan
- Generate proactive PR-driven programming to secure increased destination / hotel awareness and add meaning and differentiation to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louises diverse offering and array of guest experiences
- Provide PR amplification for all on-property special event activations including execution of relevant media launches
- Be the author and champion of both external and internal messaging ensuring consistency of brand voice across platforms and departments
- Cultivate strong relationships with top-tier media influencers and thought leaders across luxury travel design outdoor culinary and wellness verticals.
- Secure high-impact media coverage brand features and exclusive storytelling opportunities in premium publications and digital platforms.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of press materials media kits resort updates and thought leadership content that reflect the propertys distinct voice and positioning.
- Manage press visits interviews and media experiences with an emphasis on curating unique newsworthy narratives.
- Work closely with regional PR counterparts and regional digital marketing/sales teams to share best practices promote Canadas Western Mountain Collection and ensure the resort is leveraged at every opportunity
- Pursue key influential awards and execute nominations accordingly
- In coordination with the DOSM undertake other tasks and duties that may be required from time to time
Strategic Partnerships & Brand Activations
- Identify and nurture partnerships with luxury brands wellness innovators cultural institutions and lifestyle leaders that align with the propertys ethos.
- Conceptualize and execute collaborative experiences brand takeovers and signature events that drive buzz social engagement and guest demand.
- Leverage partnerships to access new audiences extend brand reach and create PR-worthy moments and guest experiences that reinforce the propertys position at the forefront of luxury and wellness and highlight its iconic destination
Experiential Development & Community Engagement
- Lead the ideation and execution of immersive guest experiences that bring the brands adventure wellness and lifestyle philosophy to life.
- Develop community engagement programs that strengthen the hotels local relevance and social impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Spa & Wellness F&B Resort Activities and Operations teams to integrate storytelling and experiential design into all guest touchpoints.
Communications Strategy & Measurement
- Work closely with the corporate communications and marketing teams to ensure message alignment across channels.
- Manage PR budgets and performance metrics.
- Track media coverage campaign results and brand sentiment to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and continuously optimize strategy.
Qualifications :
Your experience and skillset includes:
- Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Marketing or related field
- 510 years of progressive PR and partnership experience within luxury hospitality wellness or lifestyle brands
- Creative strategic thinker with a keen understanding of global luxury trends cultural relevance and experiential marketing
- Proven track record of securing top-tier media coverage and delivering high-impact brand activations
- Established network of global media contacts within luxury travel and wellness industries
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at crafting compelling narratives and copywriting for distinct audiences
- Crisis communications and online reputation management experience required
- Confident polished presence with the ability to represent the property at the highest level
