Hourly Rate: $30.93 per hour
About the Role
Busy Bees at Baldivis is seeking a passionate Part-Time Chef to prepare nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our care. With a licensed capacity of 104 children you will play a key role in supporting their health wellbeing and learning by providing fresh high-quality meals each day.
This role is 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday) for morning shifts.
As our Chef you will:
Prepare fresh healthy and culturally inclusive meals and snacks for children
Plan and deliver weekly menus in line with Nutrition Australia and Busy Bees guidelines
Cater for special dietary requirements including allergies intolerances and cultural needs
Ensure the highest standards of food safety hygiene and kitchen compliance (HACCP)
Manage kitchen supplies stock rotation and ordering
Work closely with centre leadership to promote childrens health and wellbeing
What Youll Need
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
Food Handling Certificate
Knowledge of HACCP food safety programs and menu planning requirements
Experience as a Chef in childcare schools or aged care settings (highly desirable)
Current Working with Children Check (VIC)
Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
Full Australian working rights
