Job Summary:The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the PhD or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee.
Additional Department Summary:Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship in NIH-funded research on functional neuroimaging. Our work combines fMRI EEG/ERP psychophysiology eye-tracking and behavioral methods to investigate the computational and neural mechanisms underlying decision-making and reinforcement learning in smoking behavior. The fellow will receive primary mentorship from Lark Lim Ph.D. (Lim Lab for Affective Neuroscience and Neuroeconomics; ) and will collaborate closely with other co-investigators. The position involves participation in all aspects of research including data collection and analysis grant writing manuscript preparation and dissemination of scientific findings as well as other research-related duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Doctorate. Additional qualifications based on assignment.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Cognitive Neuroscience or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:Competitive candidates will hold a Ph.D. in a field relevant to Cognitive Neuroscience and have a strong research background in functional neuroimaging including substantial experience with EEG and/or fMRI data analysis and programming.
Proficient in advanced neuroimaging data analysis computational modeling machine learning and programming (e.g. MATLAB Python). Demonstrate a strong publication record and academic writing skills appropriate to their career stage.
