Job Summary:
Northeastern Illinois University is searching for one postdoctoral fellow for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a 12-month appointment and begins Monday August 10 2026.Job Description:
The focus of postdoctoral fellowship in Counseling Services involves the advancement of clinical and supervision skills multicultural competency and a professional identity as well as the accumulation of psychology licensure hours in addition the postdoctoral fellow is encouraged to increase their professional independence and solidify their specialization in a university counseling setting. This is accomplished by joining the clinical team in a variety of activities including:
Direct clinical services (intake crisis intervention and individual couples and/or group therapy).
Provision of individual and/or group supervision as well as involvement with a training seminar and recruitment.
Outreach and consultation to the university community.
Clinical consultation.
Individual supervision and supervision of supervision.
Minimal Qualifications:
By the start date of the postdoctoral fellowship the candidate must have a completed doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in Counseling or Clinical Psychology.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience in a college or university counseling center is desirable.
