About the job

SAS Canada is looking for a Sales Manager to manage the Federal Sales team. You will be responsible for contributing to the achievement of SASs strategic corporate and business unit objectives through the implementation of sales and marketing strategy within a defined region or industry.

As a Sales Manager you will:

  • Be responsible for achievement of total software revenue target and management business objectives (MBOs).
  • Plan and implement growth plans for software consulting services and education services.
  • Direct management of sales and sales support activities for staff members to implement growth plans and sales activities.
  • Generate new business through strategic-based selling and managing relationships with key customers.
  • Be responsible for communication with sales management team to coordinate account strategies.
  • Work in conjunction with the Strategic Pricing Group to negotiate contracts and bids.
  • Determine equitable sales assignments.
  • Be responsible for timely and accurate forecasting (PTG) of software consulting services and education services
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organizations secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of strategic sales techniques andprinciples specifically in the hardware and software industry.
  • Strong leadership supervisory interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Equivalent combination of related education training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

  • Aligning and Executing Sales Strategy Establishing a plan to achieve the units sales objectives taking into consideration overall business and sales goals market opportunities pas sales results and available resources; reviewing progress and adjusting the plan as needed.
  • Motivating the Sales Team Continuously raising expectations of team performance; motivating and supporting team efforts to achieve goals while upholding organizational values and standards; tracking progress toward goals.
  • Driving for Results Setting high goals for personal and group accomplishment; using measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement.
