We are seeking aMedical ScienceLiaison(MSL)orSenior MSLtojoin usourteam! This role serves as the local medical voice of AZ in the disease area of interest and builds a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes in their territory. The MSL is an established field-based professional with extensive scientificclinicaland therapeutic areaexpertiseresponsible for providing medical and scientific support for AstraZenecas oncology marketed products new indications for current products and compounds in development.

Whatyoulldo

• Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area as well as the local specificities and patient needs.

• Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g.academia hospitals managed markets private practices)

• Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of theMDT.

• Lead peer to peer scientific/medical interactions

• Gather insights on the treatment landscape evolving healthcare environment and practice barrier tooptimaltreatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer

• Discuss with KOLs data and educational gaps to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our R&D strategy to address patient needs

• Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.

• Collaborate withClinops on trials from feasibility to execution

Minimum Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree(i.e.PharmD MD/DO PhDPAor NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline

• Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation one-on-one conversations and in small group dialoguesAbility to navigate within amatrixialenvironment

• Ability to navigate within amatrixialenvironment

• 0-2 years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience

• Demonstratedexpertisein discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences

• Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols

• Basic understanding of the Healthcare system clinical trialmethodologystatisticsand regulatory environment

• Excellent project management ability

• Ability to travel (40-60% by cartrainand plane domestic)

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline

• MSL experience

• Oncology experience
• Demonstratedexpertisein delivering customer-related outcomes in targeted field/territory
• Demonstrated ability toimpactMedical Affairs and MSL strategies on a regional level

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $174455-$261682. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and addition our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity and eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program 401(k) plan; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and health benefits including medical prescription drug dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
