We are seeking for an experienced Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) for a 13-week contract in an adult outpatient Internal Medicine clinic in Edmonds WA. This role supports a predominantly geriatric patient population and requires strong clinical administrative and patient-facing skills. Candidates must be MA-C certified-other MA designations are not accepted. First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome.
ResponsibilitiesRoom adult and geriatric patients and prepare them for provider exams
Obtain and document vital signs height/weight pulse oximetry and EKGs
Administer injections and immunizations (IM intradermal)
Perform ear lavage and medication administration as directed
Collect and label specimens (urine clean catch UA)
Conduct point-of-care testing (blood glucose via glucometer strep tests)
Prepare charts and maintain accurate patient records
Record patient history medications and allergies
Manage follow-up phone calls and pharmacy refill requests
Support clinic flow across multiple care teams
Document care in Epic EMR (preferred)
Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) REQUIRED
MA-R MA-P MA-HT not accepted
Minimum 1 year experience as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic
BLS certification
Comfortable working with geriatric patient populations
Strong clinical administrative skillset
Epic EMR experience preferred
Ability to work fixed 4x10 schedule
Local non-local and true travelers accepted
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
At least 1 year experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C)
Adult outpatient / Internal Medicine or Primary Care experience required
Experience supporting wellness visits preferred
Active MA-C certification (required)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Vital signs pulse oximetry EKG/ECG
Exam room preparation
Injections and immunizations
Specimen collection and labeling
Point-of-care testing (glucose strep UA)
Medication administration
Ear lavage
Chart preparation and documentation
Pharmacy calls and refill coordination
Patient follow-up calls
Epic EMR (preferred)
Strong communication organization and time-management skills
