Job Summary

We are seeking for an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. The role focuses on orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation with a 1:1 patient ratio. Candidates must have prior travel experience strong orthopedic skillsets and Epic documentation experience. This is not open to first-time travelers.
Responsibilities-
Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations reassessments and discharges
-
Develop and implement individualized plans of care and treatment goals
-
Provide orthopedic-focused outpatient therapy interventions
-
Perform gait training functional mobility training and therapeutic exercises
-
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
-
Accurately document evaluations progress notes and outcomes in Epic
-
Utilize assistive devices and equipment as appropriate (walkers crutches wheelchairs slings)
-
Ensure compliance with Medicare Medicaid commercial and workers compensation documentation standards
-
Active state Physical Therapist license
-
BLS certification
-
Minimum 1 year outpatient PT experience (2 years preferred)

Prior travel experience required no first-time travelers

Epic EMR experience required
-
Orthopedic outpatient experience required
-
Ability to work required block schedule
-
1:1 patient ratio experience
-
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program
-
At least 1 year outpatient physical therapy experience
-
Preferred 2 years in orthopedic outpatient setting
-
Prior travel assignment experience required
-
Active Physical Therapist license in the state of assignment
-
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
-
Orthopedic rehabilitation
-
Total hip and total knee replacement rehab
-
Gait training and functional capacity evaluations (FCE)
-
Treatment of joint injuries (ankle knee hip shoulder elbow hand)
-
TMJ frozen shoulder tendonitis
-
Development of home exercise programs
-
Patient and family education
-
Epic documentation
-
TENS modality
-
Strong time management and organizational skills
