Responsibilities of a Year 4 Teacher

• Lead the pastoral care of pupils starting their journey through Key Stage 2
• Plan and deliver engaging well-structured lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
• Focus on individual pupil progress identifying strengths and supporting areas for development
• Strengthen mathematical understanding introducing concepts such as fractions statistics and geometry
• Develop pupils writing skills supporting them to create structured narratives with clear settings plots and characters
• Track pupil progress and provide feedback to parents when required
• Contribute to a positive supportive and collaborative learning environment
