For our client a leading global industrial company that has been setting standards in high-voltage technology for over a century through innovation and quality we are looking for a technically skilled and highly coordinated individual to fill the position of:
Test Engineer High Voltage (HV)
As a High Voltage Test Engineer you will be responsible for performing electrical tests and quality verifications on high-voltage cables accessories and related components.
Tasks
- Perform routine and type tests on HV cables joints and terminations up to 500 kV according to IEC and customer standards.
- Conduct insulation resistance partial discharge AC/DC withstand and tan δ (loss factor) tests.
- Prepare and document detailed test reports and ensure traceability of all results.
- Operate and maintain high-voltage test equipment and measurement systems.
- Support R&D and production teams with prototype testing and technical investigations.
- Analyze test data identify deviations and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure all tests comply with internal safety procedures and laboratory regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement of testing processes and test system upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Proven experience in high-voltage testing (factory or field testing) of cables transformers or switchgear.
- Strong knowledge of electrical measurement principles and HV safety standards (IEC IEEE etc.).
- Familiarity with HV test systems such as resonant test sets impulse generators and PD detectors.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
