Role: IT Bilingual Service Desk

Job Summary
A deskside support job involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware software and network issues for end-users including installing configuring and maintaining PCs laptops and peripherals. Key responsibilities include providing technical assistance documenting solutions performing preventative maintenance and managing user accounts and software updates all while maintaining strong customer service. responding to client requests. This job is required to be present in office Mississauga Ontario 5 days in a week - onsite.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Support:
Provide first and second-level support to users for hardware software and network issues both on-site and remotely.

Installation and Configuration:
Install configure and upgrade computer hardware (PCs laptops printers peripherals) and software ensuring they are running properly.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems from common issues like login problems to more unusual hardware or software glitches.

Maintenance:
Perform routine preventative maintenance and apply software updates and security patches to end-user devices.

Network Connectivity:
Ensure all devices can connect to the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) and troubleshoot connectivity problems.

Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation for technical issues and their solutions and keep user tickets updated.

Customer Service:
Use strong customer service skills empathy and communication to help users and calm frustrated clients.

Collaboration:
Work with other IT team members to ensure the efficient operation of the companys desktop environment and liaise with third-party vendors as needed.

Training:
Train users on basic computer maintenance and management when necessary.

Skill Requirements

  • Desk Side Support ( Windows 10 11 troubleshooting skills ) .
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware components operating systems (e.g. Windows 10 and 11 macOS) and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Proficiency in both hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift and move computer equipment
  • 24/7 Rotational shift
