Missing Practitioner 9161 12 month Fixed-term contract 37 hours per week 31537 to 33699 per annum (Scale G) Great Yarmouth

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced practitioner to provide excellent service to children and young people who go missing. The position is for a fix term contract until the 14th November 2026. The office base is at Grey Friars in Gt Yarmouth.

You will be able to quickly engage with young people to build a picture of their experiences and associated risks and have a good understanding of the push and pull factors that impact on young people who go missing.

Working alongside a range of professionals in our Targeted Youth Support Service the role involves carrying out return to home interviews and contributes to robust planning and intervention to reduce missing episodes.

Your role as a Missing Practitioner will be varied and challenging so a high level of resilience is required. It is fast paced so you will need to be flexible use your initiative and skill set to manage your workload and respond to clear deadlines.

We will be able to offer you a friendly and supportive working environment where learning and development are promoted through the support of an experienced management group.

Whilst it is based in the North East and Broadland locality this role will require travel across the county.
