We are a well-established and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Camden North London seeking to appoint a committed and highly motivated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dedicated support team. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have identified special educational needs including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) speech and language needs ADHD social and emotional needs and moderate learning difficulties. You may be required to provide one-to-one support or work with small groups depending on individual education plans (EHCPs).
You will work under the guidance of the class teacher and the schools SENCo to deliver targeted interventions promote independence and support pupils both academically and emotionally throughout the school day.
Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs within the classroom setting
Support pupils during structured learning activities and less formal times such as playtime and lunch
Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional regulation strategies
Foster a safe inclusive and respectful learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers SENCo external professionals and parents where appropriate
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to review meetings
Support pupils in developing independence confidence and social skills
We are looking for a professional patient and empathetic individual who demonstrates a strong understanding of SEN support within a primary school setting. Experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable although training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

Hold a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
