About the role

Looking for a hands-on role where you can learn earn and make a real impact Join us as a Trainee Wastewater Operator and start building a career that matters!

Youll work alongside experienced professionals gain practical skills and get full support to complete your Certificate II and III in Water Industry Operationsnationally recognised qualifications that open doors across the industry.

What you can expect with this role

  • Be supported every step of the way with experienced supervisors mentors and your team
  • Monitor/learn plant performance/processes and to problem solve faults
  • Collect and analyse water samples
  • Carry out inspections and data entry
  • Learn Water Corporations Lock Out Tag Out practices for safe isolation and cleaning of assets
  • Gain multiple tickets such as Working at Heights Confined Spaces training Telehandler and Forklift
  • Gain a nationally recognised certificate in Water Industry Operations all course fees and books paid by Water Corporation

About you

Youll be starting in a fast-paced high-responsibility environment where your work directly contributes to delivering safe drinking water to Western Australians. Were looking for someone who is safety-conscious mature reliable and eager to learn.

Are you eligible

  • Live in the Perth Metro area and can travel to different sites
  • WA C Class Drivers Licence (based in Beenyup with travel in Water Corporation vehicle to Alkimos plant)
  • Completion of year 10 (Year 11 or 12 completed desired)
  • Willing to get Forklift & Telehandler tickets (arranged by Water Corporation once successful in application)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Safety-first mindset
  • Reliable and ready to roll up your sleeves (yes sometimes its dirty work!)
