Role Overview

Were searching for a dynamic Group Manager Digital Operations to take charge of our organisations IT environment and lift the performance reliability and maturity of our digital services.

If youre a strategic leader who loves stabilising complex environments uplifting capability and delivering seamless IT operations across infrastructure applications networks OT and service delivery - this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business to develop and implement IT operational strategies that support business objectives ensure alignment between IT services and organisational needs and drive enhanced outcomes;

  • Oversee all operational teams within Digital Operations ensuring effective efficient delivery of services across Service Delivery Applications Infrastructure and Networks and Operational Technology;

  • Drive continuous improvement of operational performance including lifecycle management environment governance patching upgrades and adoption of best practice operational standards;

  • Lead the development and execution of IT operations strategies and roadmaps ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and technology standards and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance operational capability;

  • Manage IT operational budgets vendor relationships and service level agreements ensuring optimal commercial outcomes high service standards and strong vendor performance through structured governance and regular reviews;

  • Ensure operational resilience by maintaining robust business continuity and disaster recovery practices proactively managing operational risks and ensuring compliance with relevant legal regulatory and organisational governance requirements;

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive metrics and reporting systems to measure and communicate the performance value and effectiveness of IT operations including operational trends risk indicators and vendor performance;

  • Lead develop and inspire Digital Operations teams fostering a high performance culture building leadership capability and ensuring effective workforce planning capability development and adherence to operational governance safety and quality standards; and

  • Lead the development maintenance and continuous improvement of operational governance documentation ensuring consistent adoption of operational standards and IT service management processes.

About you

Your skills and experience will include;

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or IT Systems or equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience;

  • Valid drivers licence;

  • Formal training or certification in IT service management practices such as ITIL or equivalent operational governance frameworks;

  • Previous experience leading multidisciplinary IT operations teams;

  • Demonstrated capability in delivering IT operational strategy service management uplift and governance maturity;

  • Proven success managing complex technology environments (cloud SaaS on-prem networks OT);

  • Strong commercial acumen with deep vendor and contract management experience;

  • Expertise in operational resilience including business continuity and disaster recovery;

  • Ability to balance competing priorities across operations and projects while optimising resources;

  • Strong stakeholder and executive engagement skills with the ability to influence across the organisation; and

  • Proven ability to lead organisational change embed new ways of working and lift operational performance
