DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Power BI Optimization & Administration Specialist responsible for designing developing and optimizing Power BI solutions while ensuring secure efficient and scalable workspace management within the Power BI and Fabric environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DAX Power Query (M) data modeling and performance tuning along with hands-on experience in Power BI administration tasks including workspace creation access control and capacity monitoring.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- To develop and optimize Power BI solutions including:
- DAX: Create optimized measures and implement efficient time intelligence.
- Power Query (M language): Perform advanced transformations maintain query folding and manage dataflows.
- Data Modeling: Design star/snowflake schemas and implement aggregation strategies.
- To administer Power BI Service:
- Create and manage workspaces.
- Assign roles manage permissions and grant access to users/groups.
- Monitor capacity and performance using the Fabric Capacity Metrics App.
- To perform end-to-end performance tuning:
- Optimize queries and data models.
- Reduce dataset refresh times.
- To analyze and improve DAX calculations and Power Query transformations for performance.
- To implement best practices in data modeling (relationships surrogate keys aggregations).
- To manage Power BI Gateways Incremental Refresh Aggregations and Deployment Pipelines.
- To troubleshoot and diagnose issues using Performance Analyzer DAX Studio and Query Diagnostics.
- To understand query folding Mashup Engine and dataflow refresh behavior.
- To work with SQL Server / Azure SQL / Synapse for query optimization.
- To utilize Azure services (Data Factory Data Lake Azure SQL) for data integration.
- To apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve technical issues.
- To use Power BI and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for database administration and query optimization.
- To collaborate effectively in team environments and communicate clearly.

For This Role You Will Need:
- 4-7 years of hands-on experience in Power BI optimization administration and development.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills using Performance Analyzer DAX Studio and Query Diagnostics.
- Good understanding of query folding Mashup Engine and dataflow refresh behavior.
- Familiarity with Power BI REST APIs for automation and governance.
- Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and its performance implications.
- Exposure to the Power BI Admin Portal and capacity configuration.
- Experience working with Power BI Premium or Fabric capacities
- Capacity monitoring and performance analysis using the Fabric Capacity Metrics App.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Science with a technical background (MIS Computer Science Engineering or any related field)
- Good interpersonal skills using English both spoken and written as will be working with overseas team
- Microsoft Certifications (PL-300 PL-400 or Fabric-related) are a plus.
