Installation Manager - Garages - Charlotte NC
Full Time - Salary $60k-$75k
Job Summary:
Manages the production processes to ensure that they run reliably and efficiently. The Installation Manager plans organizes and controls production in an individual Branch to ensure that all installations/service calls are completed efficiently on time within budget and to standard. Responsibilities of the job include: planning and organizing production schedules assessing project and resource requirements.
Essential Functions:
Manages all Lead Installers/Technician Assistants on his/her team; responsible for directing coordinating training and evaluating the installation crews on his/her team; reports evaluations to General Manager.
Responds to requests from Project Specialist to schedule new installations or service.
Schedules and directs Lead Installers/Technician Assistants to new installations or service calls.
Processes documentation for new and completed jobs; delivering completed job folders to Project Specialist.
Ensures Production teams have all the proper materials to complete the job prior to leaving the Branch.
Frequently communicates with the Production teams to ensure the job will get completed on time.
Performs daily audits of all completed jobs to ensure customers are satisfied and final payment or financing has been received.
Inspects Production teams to maintain professional appearance and image.
Maintains backlog and communicates with the Project Specialist to have her/him to contact customers for scheduling backlogged installations to maximize scheduling.
Documents detailed installation and service notes in database.
Supervises Lead Installers/Technician Assistants on his/her team; assesses performance; disciplines employees and ensures properly documented.
Recruits interviews hires and trains new employees.
Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
Holds weekly production meetings that consist of safety best practices goals and achievements.
Performs and documents all required accident/incident investigations.
Immediately informs required management and corporate personnel when an accident/incident occurs.
Inspects Production team for proper tools and provides instruction on proper usage.
Performs as required Pre-Inspection and Post-inspection of new installations.
Recommends the ordering of additional equipment to safely install product on specific jobs.
Inspects job folders to ensure properly documented with all details.
Responds to technical questions from sales forces and customers.
Presents completed installation volume AR and services information during the weekly all branch production meeting.
Communicates with management sales representatives customers and administrative personnel.
Addresses and solves serious installation/service issues which includes potentially meeting with customers.
Resolves customer satisfaction issues timely and professionally.
Sets implements monitors and enforces quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
Upholds buildings appearance and integrity.
Maintains as required truck/vehicle fleet with preventative maintenance program log repairs vehicle stickers/registration and appearance.
Inspects company provided tools condition for safe usage.
Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Executive Staff.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in the home improvement industry.
Strong business acuity with solid knowledge of profitability and employee management; aligns work with the Companys strategic goals.
Responds promptly to customer requests for service and assistance.
Demonstrates patience with reluctant or frustrated customers.
Contributes to building a positive team spirit; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information; a highly analytical approach able to critically evaluate ideas and information.
Effective written and verbal communication with good presentation skills.
Able to embrace change and make improvements to working practices.
A successful team leader able to manage self and others within a complex matrix environment; inspires and motivates others to perform well.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to influence internal and external stakeholders; excels working across multiple departments.

Strong computer skills and knowledge of a range of consumer relationship management (CRM) inventory management/spreadsheet software WORD etc.
Confident and effective decision-making skills.
Fantastic motivator; highly skilled in the art of negotiation.
Working knowledge of state and federal OSHA and EPA (lead/asbestos) regulations.
Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group.
Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
Diligent and proactive results-driven personality.
Ability to coordinate plan manage and oversee the Production Department for optimum productivity.
Bachelors Degree in Business Operations or Communication preferred (this degree requirement can be substituted by home improvement/construction experience).
6 years experience in production.
Has 3 years of experience in a management or supervisor position.
Has a valid drivers license.
