Job Summary

Job Purpose:

Manage the companys sourcing capabilities and supply chain by strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors and calculating and maintaining stock levels in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses and work stoppages.


Key Responsibilities:

1. To promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization.

2. To efficiently and effectively buy consumable and expendable (direct material) material for the Companys MRO operations.

3. Deputize the Manager Supply Chain

4. Recover material shortages (DMAT) timely and to reduce work stoppage time to a minimum.

5. To manage the strategical and operational supplier relationship (performance management quality adherence on-time delivery relationship commercial aspects)

6. To develops new vendor business relationships to support specific requirements.

7. Key contributor to the planning strategies by managing planned and actual lead times.

8.To cooperate closely with all involved internal customers (e.g. Production Planner Engineering Workshop Customer Service Logistics Quality Finance) to operate at minimal stock level with highest availability

9. Define and maintain the MRP settings by liaising with workshop in order to forecast future demand review.

10. Perform material planning including definition of stock levels reorder points and safety level.

drive the procurement level and validate purchase requisitions produced by an ERP system before they are handed over to procurement.

12. Analyse historical consumption data in order to recommend suitable planning models for certain material groups.

13. Identification of surplus material inventory and disposal of the material

14. Set measures in a format of KPIs

pricing for contract agreement.

16. Manage maintain assess vendors periodically and involve in vendors improvement exercise

17. To perform any other duties as assigned by Management to achieve the Company goals and objectives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Engineering Business Administration or related field.
  • 6 years experience in aviation (Component Maintenance preferred).

  • 4 years experience in Procurement Warehousing Logistics or Shipping.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office.

  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
