Job Summary

Responsibilities

Responsible for completing inventory accounting in compliance and within the monthly closing deadlines.
Responsibility for the inventory related internal controls at sites supported.
Partner with site operations teams to drive and deliver inventory accounting process excellence and valuable insights.
Responsible for recording and reconciling the inventory accounting for reserves capitalized variances and ASC 606 inventory derecognition.
Responsible for leading the standard costing process and ensuring adherence to policy.
Responsible for coordinating and participating in the annual physical inventory counts and cycle count programs at key sites being supported.
Responsible for the monthly and ad-hoc inventory analysis.
Support external audits inquiries/requests associated with inventory at sites supported.
Lead process improvement activities and system enhancements and implementations as needed for the above areas.
Other ad hoc activities as needed.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in accounting/finance from an accredited college/university
11-13 years of accounting/finance experience
Experience with inventory and manufacturing cost accounting is strongly desired
Public accounting experience is preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel and presentation skills required
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) applicable to inventory accounting
Excellent organizational analytical conceptual communication and interpersonal skills are required.
The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently but also lead projects as necessary across different levels of management functional groups and site teams.
Enterprise software experience required Oracle
