Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing inventory accounting in compliance and within the monthly closing deadlines.
- Responsibility for the inventory related internal controls at sites supported.
- Partner with site operations teams to drive and deliver inventory accounting process excellence and valuable insights.
- Responsible for recording and reconciling the inventory accounting for reserves capitalized variances and ASC 606 inventory derecognition.
- Responsible for leading the standard costing process and ensuring adherence to policy.
- Responsible for coordinating and participating in the annual physical inventory counts and cycle count programs at key sites being supported.
- Responsible for the monthly and ad-hoc inventory analysis.
- Support external audits inquiries/requests associated with inventory at sites supported.
- Lead process improvement activities and system enhancements and implementations as needed for the above areas.
- Other ad hoc activities as needed.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in accounting/finance from an accredited college/university
- 11-13 years of accounting/finance experience
- Experience with inventory and manufacturing cost accounting is strongly desired
- Public accounting experience is preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and presentation skills required
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) applicable to inventory accounting
- Excellent organizational analytical conceptual communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently but also lead projects as necessary across different levels of management functional groups and site teams.
- Enterprise software experience required Oracle
