About the role:

Were looking for a dedicated experienced Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Centre team with the opportunity to step into a Team Leader this key position youll play an essential part in supporting patients through their pre-admission surgical and post-operative care all while mentoring and guiding our talented nursing team. Youll assess patients readiness for surgery provide clear compassionate education to both patients and their families and ensure they receive exceptional care during the post-operative recovery period.

What we are looking for:

Were seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse who brings a blend of experience flexibility and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Current AHPRA registration and at least 6 years of nursing experience with significant exposure to a surgical centre or day surgery within a fast-paced acute care environment.
  • Experience in a Team Leader or similar leadership role demonstrating the ability to effectively manage and support a team in a dynamic healthcare setting.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday across a rotating roster (with no weekends nights or public holidays).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly with patients their families and your colleagues.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and empathy particularly when dealing with high-pressure or sensitive situations.
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
