Position Summary
Under close supervision of Principal Investigator the research technician I conducts a variety of routine experiments following established procedures and protocols. These experiments are designed to test the role of the human microbiome in shaping bacterial pathogen behavior as they colonize and adapt to the host. The Technician will design and execute experiments and analyze data manage and collect clinical samples assist in running day-to-day operations in the lab including coordinating lab meetings stocking supplies ensuring lab safety and maintaining lab culture collections. The candidate will also record test results present their work in oral and written formats and assist with monitoring animal colonies when necessary. Minimum Qualifications
Education in a related field At least one year experience in a laboratory environment Familiarity with basic microbiology laboratory techniques and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Microbiology or a related field
