The Company

Our client is a privately owned boutique building contractor that specialises in commercial new build fit out and refurbishment. The have secured ongoing negotiated work with several national brands from the retail and hospitality sectors as well as positioning themselves well with works associated with the 2032 Olympics here in Brisbane.

Due to this ongoing success and clear revenue projections they are predicting steady growth in what is an incredibly exciting time for the business.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Officer to work on a full time basis. This is an autonomous role reporting to the company Director and based in their head office in Windsor.

The responsibilities will include but not limited to include:

Recording transactions managing accounts payable and receivable handling payroll and superannuation reconciling bank accounts preparing BAS and other tax forms for the ATO and assisting with financial reporting like balance sheets and cash flow statements. You will also provide other adhoc financial support to the project teams as and when required.

About you

The successful individual will have 5 years experience in a similar role. You will be proactive thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to pick up things quickly. It will be very beneficial to have worked within the construction industry but not essential. This person will have excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to multitask with high attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Suite and the accounting software XERO. Exposure to JobPac/CHEOPS/Coins/Procore or similar systems is ideal.
