The Financial Crime Surveillance (FCS) team is part of Westpacs Risk Division and responsible for detecting deterring and fighting financial crime. This role is part of the first line of defence for financial crime related risks such as anti-money laundering sanctions KYC and customer due diligence

Whats the role

The Manager Service Delivery is a crucial role within the Service Management & Assurance team reporting directly to the Senior Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective management of major incidents the smooth execution of assurance and audit processes and the preparation and delivery of risk papers to senior leadership. The Manager Service Delivery will work closely with various teams across the organisation to ensure that governance standards are upheld risks are identified and mitigated and incidents are managed in a structured transparent and accountable manner.

Key to the success of the role will be the managers ability to assess relevant data produce clear reports and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. The Manager Service Delivery will also contribute to the continuous improvement of governance processes recommending and driving enhancements where necessary to maintain the highest standards of service and compliance.

This is a permanent full-time role ideally based in Parramatta but were open to considering applicants based in Adelaide or Melbourne.

What do I need

To succeed in this role youll bring:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in financial crime surveillance compliance or governance
  • Experience in writing risk papers for senior committees
  • Experience in managing Major Incidents
  • Experience with AML/CTF regulations and financial crime surveillance frameworks.
  • Proven track record in overseeing and coordinating second-line and third-line assurance reviews in relation to financial crime surveillance and monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of SMR governance processes including the escalation reporting and documentation requirements for suspicious matters.
  • Knowledge and application of compliance and legislative requirements
  • Understanding and applying the principles of risk management
  • Ability to work autonomously while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Bachelors degree in business Law Finance Risk Management or a related field desired but not mandatory.
