The Opportunity

Were seeking a Service Desk Technical Lead to lead our Service Desk team and deliver high-quality IT support across the business. This newly created role based in Hobart suits an experienced IT support professional ready to step into leadership or a current team leader looking to make a meaningful impact.

Youll lead a team of four oversee daily Service Desk operations act as the key escalation point for technical issues and help work through a backlog of requests following our recent merger. Youll collaborate closely with Technology teams and business stakeholders across Australia to ensure consistent and reliable support.

Your Role

  • Lead mentor and develop the Service Desk team
  • Manage day-to-day operations and ensure SLA performance
  • Act as the escalation point for complex technical incidents
  • Improve processes and reduce post-merger backlog
  • Maintain Service Desk documentation and knowledge base
  • Work closely with teams and vendors across Australia
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies security and operational standards

What You Bring

  • 35 years experience in IT support (Level 12)
  • Strong technical skills across Microsoft 365 MDM and desktop environments
  • Experience leading mentoring or coaching others
  • A customer-focused proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
