Primary Purpose:
To perform any combination of the following duties: Calculating posting and verifyingdata used in maintaining records for the Food Service Department. Provide Point of Saleand clerical support to Director Assistant Director and Cafeteria Managers. Understandand manage the confidential Free and Reduced Meal Application Program.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Serv-Safe certified or ability to obtain
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficient skills in typing word processing and bookkeeping
Filing and ten-key Skills
Effective communication customer service and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills
Computer Literacy - Ability to use personal computers and software to developspreadsheets databases and do word processing
Mosaic POS
Experience:
Ideal candidate will have experience with food safety and cafeteria management.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Manage the Free and Reduced Meal Application Program and paperwork submissionsthrough the guidelines of the Texas Department of Agriculture and United StatesDepartment of Agriculture. This includes understanding and applying regulations
attending workshops and in-service training(s) to keep up to date with new receiving processing and filing Free and Reduced Meal and training(s) may require occasional overnight travel. May occasionallywork late nights and/or Saturdays during application approval period.
2. Ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
3. Perform routine duties such as distribute departmental mail; accurately maintain filingprocedures; answer incoming: phone calls in a timely manner taking messages; assistwith filing copying etc. as necessary; greet the public; schedule appointments; maintaina presentable office scheduling training(s) as needed and other duties.
4. Point of Sale (POS) support. This includes assisting child nutrition managers and cashierswith various needs such as activating student and staff accounts printing student IDcards verifying student account balances and various other duties.
5. Maintain and process Human Resource information for Child Nutrition program. Thisincludes receiving and filing employee applications; scheduling and at times participatingin interviews maintaining contact information; new employee orientation check outuniforms; various other duties. Handling of confidential information withprofessionalism.
6. Assist with financial and inventory systems.
7. Verify daily cafeteria deposits are received and forms submitted correctly for courierservice.
8. Order supplies for Child Nutrition Department.
9. Submit work orders to the maintenance department through the work order system.
10. Post catering invoices distribute invoices and maintain catering records/ with catering events when needed which may require some after-hours work.

support and act as liaison-appointed personnel for Administrative Reviewprocess.
