We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Melbourne VIC within our Original Employment Services team.
In this diverse role you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure. Providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
Some of your day to day includes:
- Managing a specialised caseload of clients supporting them to return to work following a workplace injury or illness
- Working with people with complex psychological diagnoses and supporting them as they return to their usual activities and work.
- Undertaking a variety of injury prevention management and RTW assessments and services to support clients back to health and work
- Working with a variety of stakeholders - injured clients employers insurers treating health practitioners - to facilitate a safe and sustainable return to work for your clients.
- Providing psychoeducation and training to clients and employers using our award-winning biopsychosocial health coaching tool Positivum and healthy mind training packages.
- Our Psychologists may also be provided with the opportunity to provide clinical services through our Access Psych brand.
Qualifications :
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (with Provisional or Full AHPRA registration) or Rehabilitation Counselling (with Full ASORC registration)
- Strong interpersonal skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!
- Excellent Time management and organizational skills
- Empathy paired with genuine compassion and kindness makes all the difference in this role.
- Patience and resilience - essential for navigating challenges and supporting clients through their recovery journey
- A current VIC Drivers License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must!
