We are looking for a commercially-minded and highly analytical Finance Business Partner to join our Sydney team for a 12-month contract with an immediate start. This is not a traditional back-office reporting role. You will be a true strategic co-pilot to the business embedding yourself as a trusted advisor to senior management and cross-functional teams. Your mission is to translate complex financial data into a clear high-impact narrative that drives our commercial strategy and supports critical decision-making.
In this high-visibility role you will take full ownership of the end-to-end financial planning and analysis cycle. Youll lead the preparation of dynamic budgets rolling forecasts and insightful variance analyses that go beyond what happened to explain why it happened. You will build sophisticated financial models to support new initiatives challenge assumptions and proactively hunt for value. This includes identifying and championing opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvements across the organisation.
Your success will depend on your ability to build strong relationships and communicate with influence. You will be a key voice in management meetings confidently presenting your financial findings and data-backed recommendations to senior leaders. You will also serve as a guardian of our financial integrity ensuring all activities and reports comply with the highest accounting principles and reporting standards.

Were looking for someone who brings:
Proven experience in a similar FP&A or Finance Business Partner role.
Expert-level financial modelling and analysis skillsyou can build complex models from scratch.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (you live in pivot tables complex formulas and lookups).
Deep hands-on experience running the full end-to-end budgeting forecasting and variance analysis cycle.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the confidence to translate complex finance for non-financial stakeholders.
A natural problem-solving ability and a strong commercial acumen.
A Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
A CPA CA or equivalent professional certification.
Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Advanced Excel skills including VBA or macros.
A solid understanding of financial planning and analysis methodologies.
