Job Summary

Primary Purpose:

Provides responsible assistance involving a specialized knowledge of human resources procedures practices and policies. Responsible for performing a variety of duties in the functional areas of Human Resources.

Education / Certification:

High School Diploma

Special Knowledge / Skills:

  1. Knowledge of Personal Computers to include experience using word processing and spreadsheet software.
  2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills.
  3. Ability to work independently and as a team.
  4. Strong organizational skills.
  5. Tact diplomacy and discretion required in all matters.

Experience / Other Requirements:

Two years of administrative or human resources support experience.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Assists with the management and usage of the districts online application system.
  2. Answers questions directed to Human Resources related to district employment opportunities.
  3. Effectively communicates with district hiring managers regarding open positions.
  4. Monitors and tracks district required compliance trainings and annual policy receipts.
  5. Assists in review of employee records for accuracy and completeness.
  6. Assists with the placement and coordination of student observation requests.
  7. Processes requests for official district records as needed.
  8. Maintains required files in an organized and confidential manner.
  9. Prepares correspondence forms records and reports as needed.
  10. Communicates with internal and external customers in a timely fashion as needed.
  11. Assists with new employee orientation on an as needed basis.
  12. Assists with various department operations as requested and as responsibilities permit.
  13. Acts as a backup for assigned human resources staff members.
  14. Responsible for properly maintaining district records adhering to all policies set forth by the district for records maintenance and learning the records retention schedule for department records.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
