Job Summary
Summary Of Position
Under the administrative supervision of designated supervisor advise and counsel students in relation to academic programs; Design and administer appropriate programs services and activities that assist students with academic planning.
Other Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience in academic counseling or related experience required; Masters in Education Counseling or related student service area preferred; strong interpersonal skills and communication techniques; Ability to work in a collaborative team environment; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects; Experience in a university advising office.

Work experience in college/university environment. Experience in a university advising office. Work collaboratively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills. High degree of personal discretion diplomacy and judgment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Supervisory skills including the ability to instruct and direct the work of others. Creativity flexibility and adaptability to change. Student service orientation and a continuous improvement philosophy. Proven ability to work in a way that honors diverse cultures ideas perspectives and people. Strong computer skills such as word processing calendaring e-mail Internet spreadsheets database management presentation software website content management systems and other applications as required by college.
