Position Logistics

  • FLSA: Full-Time Non - Exempt
  • Salary:$28.20/hour
  • Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8 hours/day shifts between the hours of 9am - may be occasional work hours in the evening or weekend to meet agency needs or to attend events.
  • Work Location:Work will be primarily done from Camp Fire Alaskas main office located 161 Klevin Street in Anchorage AK as well as occasional work at all program locations - which includes School Age Program Locations (Anchorage & Eagle River) Camp Fireweed (APU Campus) and Camp K (Cooper Landing AK)This position will have the option for a hybrid work schedule (after 90 days) that will adjust to meet supervisor and agency needs.

The Role
The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in developing and executing Camp Fire Alaskas (CFA) internal and external marketing communications and public relations efforts. This position helps bring our mission to life by creating and sharing stories that inspire inform and elevate our community. Through thoughtful planning and hands-on implementation the Marketing Coordinator supports initiatives that empower youth to find their spark lift their voice and discover who they are.


The Marketing Coordinators day typically begins in the office working independently on assigned projects attending meetings and collaborating with the marketing team and other departments to advance organizational goals. About half of the role is spent in the office on computer-based work with roughly 20% dedicated to supporting Camp Fires presence at events and the remaining 30% focused on gathering photo and video content from program sites usually two to three days each week. This position requires someone who is friendly flexible and comfortable working with children as regular visits to program locations are essential. The ideal candidate is a team player who embraces feedback positively and can adapt as departmental priorities evolve.



Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing Communications or related field desired. (commensurate work experience will be considered)
  • Experience in marketing and communications with demonstrated experience in design.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) Word Press Canva Constant Contact and HTML.
  • Experience in effective use of social media as both a messaging and interactive tool.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to transport self and supplies to offsite work and events.
