About the Client:
Our client is a well-established organization in the apparel manufacturing and export sector recognized for its strong operational excellence and commitment to quality. With a dynamic finance and accounting environment the company seeks a detail-oriented professional to support its financial operations and ensure adherence to industry and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Record and maintain accurate accounting entries for all financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions including invoice verification billing and payment processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain updated cash flow records.
- Support payroll processing EPF/ETF submissions and statutory tax payments.
- Monitor and reconcile petty cash employee advances and related accounts.
- Provide documentation and reports required for internal and external audits.
- Maintain ledgers and ensure timely posting of journal entries.
- Assist in budget preparation cost monitoring and expenditure tracking.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards internal controls and company financial policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
- High attention to detail accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Part qualification in AAT CA CMA or an equivalent accounting certification.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Knowledge of Sri Lankan tax laws and statutory requirements will be an added advantage.
