Job Summary

As a Senior Tax Accountant on Datadogs Finance team youll play a critical role in supporting our global tax function. Youll work across international tax provision and compliance indirect tax reporting and a range of strategic tax projects that impact our rapidly scaling business. This role offers meaningful cross-functional collaboration with Accounting Finance and external advisors providing exposure to leadership and the opportunity to enhance global tax operations through automation and process improvement. What Youll Do:

  • Support the preparation of global tax provisions including current and deferred tax calculations under ASC 740
  • Assist with international tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions in coordination with external advisors
  • Manage indirect tax (VAT/GST/SUT) compliance including reviewing filings and supporting audits and inquiries
  • Conduct tax research and analysis across international indirect and corporate tax topics; draft documentation to summarize findings
  • Support global tax audits by preparing schedules responding to requests and working with stakeholders and advisors
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to align processes and ensure accurate tax reporting

Who You Are:

  • A CPA or chartered accountant (or working toward certification) with a degree in Accounting Tax Finance or a related field
  • Experienced with 36 years in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) and/or in-house corporate tax roles
  • Knowledgeable in U.S. and international corporate tax compliance ASC 740 and indirect tax principles with an interest in global reporting frameworks like OECD Pillar 2
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills
  • A strong communicator and collaborator who works well across teams and time zones
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
