We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Deputy Manager to assist in the day-to-day management and progressive development of services for adults with learning disabilities in alignment with the Social Services Committees policy objectives and the principles of the Community Care and NHS Act.

This role involves supporting service users and carers through the review and evaluation of individual programmes maintaining accurate records and contributing to the growth of day services both within the Centre and the wider community. You will represent the manager at meetings participate in multi-disciplinary planning and help oversee medication arrangements and service statements to ensure each individual lives a fulfilling life.

Operational responsibilities include staff supervision deployment development and communication as well as assisting with recruitment training and rota planning. The role also includes general management duties such as budget administration health and safety compliance and assuming leadership in the managers absence. About the Role

As Deputy Manager you will:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the team
  • Deputise for the Service Manager managing performance allocating work and overseeing service delivery
  • Lead on carer recruitment assessment training and development
  • Manage a small caseload and contribute to placement planning and quality assurance
  • Respond to complaints safeguarding concerns and service needs flexibly including occasional early mornings evenings and weekends
  • Liaise with external agencies including CQC and represent the service at local and national forums

  • Has experience working with adults with support needs in care or community settings
  • Understands CQC regulations and safeguarding practices
  • Is a confident communicator motivator and team player
  • Has strong organisational IT and report-writing skills.
  • Can demonstrate resilience adaptability and a proactive approach to service development.
