About the Strategy Growth and Engagement Team
The Strategy Growth and Engagement (SGE) team leads Eachs vision for a healthier more equitable future. We drive innovation advocacy and engagement across our national service areas working collaboratively to strengthen communities and improve lives.
- Part-time (0.6FTE) ongoing position to start Feb 2026 (must be available to work Tuesday)
- Based at our Head Office in Ringwood on the lands of the Wurundjeri People with flexible/hybrid working conditions on offer.)
- $165000 - $180000 pro rata (dependent on experience) 12% Super Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18550
Your role your impact
As Director of Communications & Strategic Engagement you will lead a passionate team to shape Eachs public narrative and reputation for care safety and quality. Your work will build trust and confidence among customers staff stakeholders government and media helping Each deliver on its strategy and make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage strategic communications media marketing engagement and advocacy activities that elevate Eachs profile and support organisational goals.
- Drive internal communications that support culture change and strategic alignment.
- Manage media relations crisis communications and reputation management.
- Build strong relationships and partnerships with government sector and community stakeholders.
- Advise the CEO and Executive Team on emerging risks opportunities and public messaging.
- Champion Eachs advocacy agenda identifying and leveraging opportunities to influence change.
- Act as custodian of the Each brand and voice.
- Oversee development and execution of strategic cross-platform campaigns.
- Lead a high-performing team delivering communications brand media relations internal communications digital content and support for major projects and change initiatives.
- Increase community and sector awareness funding opportunities and commercial partnerships.
Who were looking for
You are a courageous strategic leader who inspires collaboration and excellence. You bring:
- Extensive experience in communications public relations marketing or journalism.
- At least five years experience at a senior leadership level.
- Demonstrated success working collaboratively with executive teams.
- Proven ability to develop influence and lead strategy in a collaborative manner.
- Strong relationship-building skills with government sector and community stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Agility flexibility and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Understanding of Australian government processes and policy environments.
Desirable:
- Detailed understanding of the health and community services sector in Australia.
- Experience building partnerships and alliances to achieve growth.
Qualifications :
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to communications public relations marketing journalism or similar.
