Job Summary

TheCenter for the Study of Race Ethnicity & Equity (CRE2) at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications from recent Ph.D. graduates for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship.

About CRE2: CRE2 is a university wide center and brings the research force of Washington University to the study of how race and ethnicity are integral to the most complex and challenging issues of our time.

We believe in field-defining research innovative learning and strategic engagement that will transform scholarship policy and clinical interventions where race and ethnicity are at the center.

About the Fellowship: The CRE2 Postdoctoral Fellowship will provide support to early-career scholars studying race and ethnicity in a broad range of fields in the social sciences and humanities.

The postdoctoral fellowship program aims to create a legacy of scholars who will be positioned to address issues related to race and ethnicity using a multidisciplinary lens. Our postdoctoral Fellowship will foster connections catalyze new conversations in the study of race and ethnicity and create lasting collaborative scholarly and professional relationships.

We are seeking an individual with trans-disciplinary scholarly and research interests who will advance the Centers mission by engaging in collaborative as well as independent research and scholarship and who will enjoy the opportunity to design some public programming (like seminars and workshops). We are especially interested in candidates who are working at the intersection of multiple disciplines. The Fellow is also expected to pursue research activities associated with their primary area of work as demonstrated by presentations and published works.



Eligibility

We invite applications from qualified candidates who are at the beginning of their academic careers (no more than four years from the granting of your PhD at the time of the application due date) but who do not yet hold tenure-track academic positions.

Applications are evaluated against a broad set of criteria with special consideration given to contributions the candidate can make to academic diversity in our University community and more specifically to the Center for the Study of Race Ethnicity & Equity.
