Essential Functions
- May enforce work rules and procedures as directed by supervisor.
- May participate in the establishment of work rules and procedures.
- Will train new and current employees in the same job category.
- Will evaluate day-to-day work performance in the job category providing feedback coaching and recognition. May have input into the performance evaluation of the employee for whom they serve as Lead.
- May assign job tasks and duties to assigned employees within the job category.
- May make alterations to the daily work schedule of assigned employees to meet the needs of the department.
- May have input to the supervisor on work schedules for the week two weeks or a period of a complete schedule.
- Must work effectively and collaboratively with fellow employees to ensure excellent customer service and high customer satisfaction to customers.
- May provide input into development plans discipline and other administrative matters but does not have authority to carry out any such actions. Supervisors must carry out the actions.
- Serve as Team leader for two to four groundskeepers organizing work assignments providing information and overseeing the assigned tasks to ensure these are completed timely and properly.
Skills and Abilities
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent
- Experience: Two to four years of related experience in landscape maintenance
- Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of a computer and programs including MS applications email calendars and research using internet resources.
