Role Overview

The BI Architect is responsible for designing developing and implementing scalable and efficient Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using tools like Power BI Tableau and modern data platforms. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translating them into actionable data insights and visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

Core BI Architecture & Development
Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions using Tableau and Power BI.
Develop semantic models dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
Create and maintain data models ETL pipelines and data warehouses.
Collaboration & Governance
Work with cross-functional teams (finance sales operations) to gather requirements.
Implement data governance security and compliance frameworks.
Mentor junior BI developers and analysts.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Power BI: Semantic models DAX Paginated Reports Q&A visual.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (SQL Server PostgreSQL Oracle).
Experience with ETL tools (e.g. Talend Informatica) and data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure AWS Google BigQuery).
Bonus: Python or R for data manipulation and AI/ML integration.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Leadership and mentoring capabilities (for senior roles).
Preferred Experience
10 years in BI data analytics or data architecture roles.
Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade BI solutions.
Experience with DevOps for BI (e.g. Git ALM Toolkit Tabular Editor).
Certifications in Power BI Tableau or Microsoft Fabric are a plus 1 2 3.
