Pay Rate: $55 to $65/hr
Weekly Pay: $2062.50 to $2437.50/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Surgical Techfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Holmdel NJ.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment for procedures following surgeon preferences and standard protocols.
Maintain accurate counts of sponges needles instruments and administer and label medications according to policy.
Handle and process specimens in compliance with O.R. policies and procedures.
Control contamination through proper decontamination disinfection sterilization and sanitation of instruments and equipment.
Remove used equipment and safely dispose of contaminated needles and syringes.
Participate in team conferences to plan and evaluate patient care assisting the circulator in revising the plan as needed.
Maintain proficiency by completing skills checklists and participating in rotations through specialty areas.
Identify and accommodate patient-specific needs including age cultural and accessibility considerations.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training.
Professional certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
Prior Endoscopy experience required including Bronchoscopy ERCP EUS and scope processing.
Knowledge of sterilization decontamination and infection control procedures.
Ability to maintain accurate counts and handle surgical instruments efficiently.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with a surgical team.
Physical ability to lift push pull and stand for extended periods.
Effective communication skills to interact with patients caregivers and medical staff.
