The CT Technologist Mid-Level performs high-quality CT imaging studies while ensuring patient safety comfort and accurate diagnostic information for providers. This role is ideal for technologists with both ARRT and Arizona licensure in Radiography and CT who have 1 2 years of experience and can work independently in a fast-paced imaging department.

• Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and department protocols ensuring optimal image quality and appropriate radiation dose.

• Verify patient identity review histories and prior imaging obtain necessary consents and explain procedures to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation.

• Position patients correctly and operate CT scanners to obtain diagnostic images of requested anatomy including cross-sectional and multi-planar views.

• Prepare and administer IV contrast media per protocol monitor patients for adverse reactions and follow contrast safety policies.

• Adhere to ALARA principles and radiation safety standards for patients self and staff.

• Review images for technical adequacy and work collaboratively with radiologists to address additional views or repeat scans when necessary.

• Document procedures contrast usage and patient information accurately in the EMR and PACS systems.

• Assist with equipment quality control daily checks and troubleshooting minor scanner issues and report service needs promptly.

• Collaborate with nursing providers and other imaging modalities to coordinate patient flow and support timely patient-centered care.

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R).

• Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or documented CT eligibility per ARRT guidelines.

• Current Arizona state license for Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist in accordance with Arizona MRTBE regulations.

• 1 2 years of CT technologist experience in a hospital or busy imaging center environment.

• Proficiency in CT scanner operation cross-sectional anatomy and contrast administration.

• Excellent patient care communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• CT image acquisition and optimization for a variety of body systems and indications.

• Safe radiation use contrast administration and adherence to regulatory and departmental standards.

• Strong patient care communication and customer service skills in an imaging setting.

• Technical troubleshooting workflow efficiency and teamwork within a multi-modality imaging department.
