About the role

We are seeking outstanding educators to inspire and mentor the next generation of Electrical Trades students. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at our Bathurst campus.

As a TAFE NSW Teacher your role is to guide and enhance the learning process. You will be passionate and motivated to share your extensive industry experience and you will have proven experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment. This is your chance to build the skills qualifications and employability of our students and support their career goals.

You will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality learning sessions and assessments ensuring that all training aligns with best educational practices and compliance standards. Staying current with developments in education and industry trends will be essential to maintain relevance and excellence in your teaching.

About You

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge skills and hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent qualification
  • Hold a current Electrical Contractors Licence or Electrical Supervisor Certificate issued in NSW
  • Havea minimum of five years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications gained no longer than five years previously
  • Provide evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  • Be prepared to continue to develop your Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
