We are now inviting expressions of interest from passionate and dedicated educators to join our Monash Advanced Preparation Program (MAPP) teaching team on a permanent part-time basis commencing Friday 13 February 2026

Teaching Areas

We are seeking educators with expertise in one or more of the following fields:

  • Introduction to Academic Communication
  • Introductory Mathematics for Business
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Introductory Economics
  • Accounting for Business
  • Chemistry Essentials
  • Cyber and Digital Foundations
  • The Modern World
  • Psychology
  • Media Studies
  • Physics Foundations
  • Biology Foundations

Please refer to the Monash Advanced Preparation Program Unit Descriptions for curriculum who are suitably qualified and experienced may be appointed to teach multiple units.


About the Program

The Monash Advanced Preparation Program (MAPP) offers a direct accelerated pathway into Monash University undergraduate degrees. Designed for successful Year 12 graduates (or other approved qualifications) who narrowly miss direct undergraduate entry this intensive 16-week program builds students academic readiness through targeted learning and personalised support.

The MAPP program was introduced in September of 2025 and significant growth is anticipated in 2026. Currently the program is only available to international students.


About the Role

As a MAPP Teacher you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality engaging and student-centred learning experiences.

  • Each class is 5 hours of face to face teaching per week spread over 2 or 3 days
  • A full teaching load is 4 classes per week working week is 36.25 hours
  • Flexibility is valued and supported
  • Remuneration is competitively above the Educational Services (Post Secondary Education) Award

About You

You are an experienced and passionate teacher who thrives in multicultural learning environments and is committed to supporting international students to succeed academically and personally.


You will bring:

  • Experience teaching students from non-English speaking backgrounds
  • A strong ability to collaborate within diverse multicultural teams
  • Skills in identifying students at risk and providing appropriate intervention
  • The capacity to challenge and extend high-achieving students
  • A proven commitment to pastoral care and student wellbeing


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (postgraduate qualifications preferred)
  • Teaching qualification or a minimum of two years teaching experience


Current Working With Children Check or VIT registration
