The F110 X-Bat on Site Systems Engineer will be primarily co-located with the Shield AI company in Frisco (Dallas) TX with travel to Shields HQ in San Diego CA and GE facilities in OH and MA. The Advanced Technical Leader leads projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or is a recognized expert in a specialized this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise and contribute to the overall business strategy .Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers for all product design aspects of the assigned system
Represent GE at customers facility. Be GEs primary voice at the customers shop and bring the voice of the customer back to GE.
Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing sourcing services global engineering ATO and systems engineering
Support service programs fulfillment and New Product Introduction (NPI)
Provide strong guidance and contribution to DMP and design to cost projects
Communicate progress to all levels of the organization
Mentor and develop less experienced personnel
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics Chemistry Mathematics or Computer Science
At least 12 years of engineering experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.
Desired Characteristics:
Masters degree in Engineering
Six Sigma training
Strong mechanical design and analytical background
Familiarity with manufacturing processes
Ability to drive projects to completion
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
