The Field Service Technician holds the key responsibility for the safe and operationally effective installation and servicing of two main systems: on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk medical or industrial gas systems. This work must strictly adhere to all federal state/provincial and local codes as well as Airgas policies.
Equipment Installation Maintenance and Repair: Install place in operation maintain inspect test troubleshoot and repair company equipment at customer sites. Prioritize integrated service activities to maximize on-site time ensuring the safe effective and efficient delivery of products to the customers point of use.
Customer and Service Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact and coordination between the company and the customer to ensure all requirements are met safely efficiently and economically. Coordinate installation and removal activities with external service providers Customer Service Engineering Sales and Distribution.
Specific Equipment Focus: Perform all functions for Air Liquide Americas applicable equipment including but not limited to:
Liquid and gas storage systems (oxygen nitrogen argon hydrogen helium and carbon dioxide).
Customer distribution and regulation systems.
Applications equipment.
Telemonitoring equipment and instrumentation.
FLOXAL systems including air compressors small on-site nitrogen generation systems and mechanical refrigeration systems.
Documentation and Quality Control: Ensure the optimum quantity quality and cost of service work performed. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation (including installations and removals) in a timely accurate and complete fashion. Compile billing information and total related costs of all work performed where applicable.
Safety and Customer Satisfaction: Perform all work in conformance with established safety procedures. Ensure customer satisfaction with both the appearance and operation of every installation.
Asset Management: Provide for the appropriate use and security of company assets.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of diagnostic and repair experience in one or more of the following areas: Cryogenics high-pressure piping brazing electrical circuits (including 3-phase power) refrigeration (EPA certified in refrigerant recovery) PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and process instrumentation.
Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
Current valid drivers license with a clean driving record allowing operation of a vehicle up to 10000 lb. GVW.
Ability to work in inclement weather and travel with approximately 15% overnight travel required.
Ability to be on call 24/7 except during scheduled vacation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
College or Technical degree with the skills necessary to install maintain and remove customer site installations unassisted.
